Alpine Air Express, a Portfolio Company of AE Industrial Partners, Acquires Suburban Air Freight, Inc
Alpine Air Express announced that it has acquired Suburban Air Freight Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Alpine operates a growing fleet of more than 50 active aircraft and owns a proprietary Supplemental Type Certificate to convert the Beechcraft 1900D aircraft from passenger to cargo configuration, providing a unique value proposition to its blue-chip clients such as UPS, U.S. Postal Service, FedEx and others.
Avelo Airlines becomes new customer of Lufthansa Technik
Avelo Airlines has recently awarded Lufthansa Technik with a contract to supply material for its growing fleet of eight Boeing 737-700/800 aircraft. This agreement is the first cooperation between the two companies. In the years ahead, Lufthansa Technik will provide Avelo with Consumables and Expendables to support the airline as it grows. The airline plans to add additional Boeing 737NGs to its fleet by the end of 2022.
Gulfstream Delivers First Dallas-completed G600
Gulfstream Aerospace has delivered the first Gulfstream G600 to be outfitted at its Dallas facility. The company expanded completions operations to the Dallas location 10 months ago in response to a growing demand for its large-cabin G600. Gulfstream President Mark Burns stated “We are seeing tremendous demand for our next-generation aircraft. Expanding G600 completions to Dallas is positioning us well for the future as we prepare for G700 entry into service, continued G500 and G600 in-service fleet growth, and the interest we are seeing in the recently announced G400 and G800.”

Jet Linx announced it has partnered with ATP Flight School (ATP), the nation's largest flight school, to create a new hiring pathway program that provides qualified ATP candidates with a direct path to join Jet Linx as a First Officer upon reaching qualifications as outlined within the programme.

Spirit Airlines Strengthens Houston Ties With New Aircraft Maintenance Facility
Spirit Airlines announced a commitment to Houston with the addition of an aircraft maintenance facility at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The facility, located along John F. Kennedy Boulevard, will serve as a large aircraft maintenance hangar with offices and warehousing for the Spirit Technical Operations team when it begins its first phase of operations. The maintenance complex includes two aircraft bays and ramp space for up to four aircraft, as well as warehouse, shops, and office space, and adds an important geographical location to complement Spirit's maintenance hub in Detroit. The airline plans to staff the facility with more than 50 Houston-based Team Members to maintain and service Spirit's growing fleet, which is planned to gain 24 new aircraft this year for a projected fleet-wide total of 197 by the end of 2022
Zephyrus Aviation Capital and volofin Capital Management Ltd. close inaugural financing transaction for two aircraft on lease to American Airlines
volofin Capital Management has completed the structuring and debt financing of a pair of narrow body aircraft on lease to American Airlines for Zephyrus Aviation Capital The financing is the first transaction between Zephyrus and volofin and fits very well into both companies’ strategy around mid-life narrow body aircraft. The aircraft are also the first AAL leased aircraft in Zephyrus’ and volofin’s portfolios respectively.
