Aviation Capital Group Announces Commitment with Airbus for 20 A220s and 40 A320neo Family Aircraft Aviation Capital Group announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 20 A220s and a firm contract with Airbus for 40 A320neo Family aircraft, of which five are A321XLRs. CEO and President of ACG Thomas Baker said “We are delighted to expand our portfolio with additional A220 and A320neo Family aircraft.  These highly advanced aircraft will enhance ACG’s strategic objective to offer our airline customers the most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft available.” Boeing Announces UPS Purchase of 19 767 Freighters Boeing announced an order for 19 767 Freighters from UPS highlighting the 767 Freighter's outstanding operational efficiency and payload capability. In 2021 air cargo demand has surged due to an expansion of e-commerce and express cargo markets. UPS U.S. Operations President Nando Cesarone stated “The Boeing 767 is the most versatile aircraft we operate. Our plan to purchase 19 aircraft and take delivery between 2023 and 2025 aligns with the strategy and capital expenditure forecast shared during our June 2021 Investor and Analyst Day. It also supports our sustainability efforts by making our fleet more efficient and improving reliability.” Canada Jetlines Receives First A320-200 Aircraft from Jackson Square Aviation Canada Jetlines announced the delivery of its first A320-200 aircraft from Jackson Square Aviation. The newly established all-Canadian carrier will provide convenient air travel options with launch slated for Spring of 2022. VP Maintenance Operations Canada Jetlines Brad Warren said “This is a milestone day for our team as we get to witness the inception of our branded fleet, with the delivery of our first aircraft. We have collectively been building towards this moment and we couldn’t be happier to partner with Jackson Square Aviation as we prepare for take-off early this year.” GA Telesis Unveils Aero Inventory Management (AIM) Program with Launch Customer Global Crossing Airlines GA Telesis unveiled the innovative Aero Inventory Management (“AIM”) program, designed to supply complete parts packages alongside ancillary airline support services with a focus on smaller fleets as well as startup airlines around the globe. The launch customer is Miami-based Global Crossing Airlines Group, Inc which operates a fleet of A320 family aircraft. GA Telesis’ Flight Solutions Group will manage the new groundbreaking service, enabling custom-fit solutions for this niche market. JetBlue Extends London Heathrow Schedule Through October 2022 JetBlue announced it is extending its transatlantic schedule for flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) through October 2022, with seats on sale beginning today. JetBlue was initially welcomed at Heathrow with temporary slots made available as entrenched, larger airlines reduced service during the pandemic. Since its successful transatlantic launch in August 2021. Jetblue CEO Robin Hayes stated “The response on both sides of the Atlantic has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s now widely recognized that losing JetBlue on this route would be a major setback for travelers who enjoy low fares and great service. We are committed to collaborating with regulators as well as the U.S.and U.K. governments to identify a pathway to staying at Heathrow for the long-term.
