SMBC Aviation Capital leases 3 A220-300s to Breeze Airways

Avia Solutions Group orders 80 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft

Dublin-based Avia Solutions Group announce an order 80 Boeing 737 MAX. The transaction, split between 40 firm orders and 40 purchase rights, with deliveries from 2030. The order is the first direct order placed by the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, bolstering its capacity to meet the continued strong demand from airlines globally for additional aircraft during peak seasons. Boeing senior vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing Brad McMullen, said “ACMI providers such as Avia Solutions Group offer important, flexible capacity to meet the dynamic demand in our industry and we are honored Avia has selected Boeing airplanes to help meet that demand from its customers,” said Brad McMullen, Boeing senior vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing. “By choosing the 737-8, Avia is aligning with its customers’ plans to operate increasingly fuel-efficient fleets that improve the passenger experience.”

 

Azorra Closes $1 Billion In Financings

Azorra announced that it had closed an offering of $550 million of senior unsecured notes and entered into a $464 million Term Loan B facility. The term loan, matures in October 2029, will be secured by a 28-asset portfolio consisting of 12 A220-300s, 6 E195-E2s, 2 E190-E2s, 6 E195-E1s, one E170-E1 and one PW1900 engine. Azorra CFO Alan Stanford stated, “This is a significant achievement in our long-term financing strategy. This step reflects the strength of our business and the confidence of the markets. It positions us for continued growth and enhances our ability to provide innovative fleet solutions to our global customer base.”

 

Falko adds two Embraer E170 Aircraft from Azzora

Falko announced the acquisition of two Embraer E170 aircraft from Azorra. The aircraft are on lease to American Airlines and subleased to Envoy Air. Falko Chief Commercial Officer Mark Hughes, stated “As well as increasing Fund II’s exposure to a major US airline, the transaction increases the number of E170s to eight in Fund II’s portfolio and to sixteen across Falko’s whole portfolio. Demand for the E170 aircraft type remains strong, particularly in the North American region with the aircraft type being scope compliant and well suited to providing connectivity to secondary airports and on feeder routes to major hubs in the U.S.”

 

SMBC Aviation Capital leases 3 A220-300s to Breeze Airways

SMBC Aviation Capital has announced that it has signed lease agreements with Breeze Airways for three  Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The first two aircraft are scheduled to deliver in November and December 2024, with the last aircraft due to deliver in early 2025. Breeze Airways’ Founder and CEO David Neeleman, stated “As we continue to rapidly expand our presence across the United States, our growing Airbus A220-300 fleet has allowed us to serve more Guests and bring our Seriously Nice™ product to more communities. SMBC Aviation Capital is a great partner as we look for more ways to support our continued growth.”
