Air Lease Corporation Announces the Delivery of First New Airbus A350 XWB Aircraft to Malaysia Airlines Berhad Air Lease Corporation announced 29 November the delivery of its first Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, on lease to Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB). This aircraft is the first of six new A350-900s leased to the airline, with the additional five aircraft delivering through the third quarter of 2018 from ALC’s order book with Airbus. Air Lease Corporation takes Delivery of its First new Boeing 737 MAX Air Lease Corporation announced 1 December the delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX in Seattle, Washington. The aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, is the first of six 737 MAX 8 aircraft on long term lease to LOT Polish Airlines from ALC’s order book with Boeing. This event also marks the first Boeing 737 MAX to operate in Central & East Europe, as well as the first 737 MAX aircraft in LOT Polish Airlines’ fleet. Since inception, ALC has purchased and delivered 75 new 737-800s and ordered a total of 130 737 MAX aircraft, the first of which delivered to LOT. American VP sales Asia Pacific: US aviation industry has shifted from a 'boom-bust' mentality American Airlines VP sales Asia Pacific Shane Hodges, speaking at the ACTE-CAPA Global Conference Sydney, the US airline industry operated with a "boom-bust" mentality prior to consolidation. Airlines "didn't go 5-6 years without losing significant amounts of money", according to Mr Hodges, adding the mentality is "not the way you can grow as a business and industry long term". Mr Hodges said a cultural change by the carrier was ambitious due to a "heritage of difficult times", however the airline is now a USD50 billion business". Mr Hodges believes the carrier's profits and financial performance is now sustainable due to the cultural shift, noting the airline is about to enter the longest phase of positive growth since 1979. ATSG Signs New Boeing 767 Freighter Lease Agreement with Air Incheon and Delivers Three More Dry-Leased 767 Freighters Air Transport Services Group, Inc announced 29 November the signing of a new lease agreement with Air Incheon for one Boeing 767-300 converted freighter and an option for a second, both for 2018 delivery, along with the expansion of its dry-leased 767-300 freighter fleet with three deliveries in November. The company said that its ATSG West Leasing Limited subsidiary in Ireland has committed to lease one converted Boeing 767-300 freighter to Air Incheon of South Korea for a multi-year term anticipated to commence on March 31, 2018. ATSG West Leasing has also granted Air Incheon an option to lease a second 767-300 freighter for delivery later in 2018. Luxaviation expands US presence with Paragon Aviation tie-up Luxaviation, the world’s largest business aircraft charter and management company, has formed a strategic collaboration with the Paragon Aviation Group and Chinese business jet charter and management company BAA, in a move designed to bolster its international presence and help expand its footprint in the lucrative US market.

MIA ranked the most transit-accessible airport in the U.S.

Miami International Airport has been ranked the most transit-accessible airport in America, according to a study released by transportation technology firm TransitScreen. MIA received a TransitScreen MobilityScore of 66 (on a scale of one to 100). The study analyzed the 20 busiest U.S. airports in passenger traffic and their access to buses, trains and taxis, in addition to ride-sharing, bike-sharing and car-sharing options. Miami International Airport offers more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean than any other U.S. airport, is America's second-busiest airport for international passengers, boasts a lineup of more than 100 air carriers and is the top U.S. airport for international freight.

U.S. DOT Approves Delta Air Lines and Korean Air Joint Venture

The U.S. Department of Transportation approved the proposed trans-Pacific  joint venture between Delta Air Lines and Korean Air clearing the way for the two carriers to combine their flight networks to serve more than 290 American and 80 Asian destinations.
