Air India connects London Gatwick with Goa's Mopa airport
Air India launched a new three times weekly service between London Gatwick to Goa serving the Mopa airport in North Goa, effective from 21 July. The route is operated by two class Boeing 787-8 aircraft, featuring 18 Business Class and 238 Economy Class seats. The carrier launched four new routes (Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi) with 12 weekly flights to London Gatwick as part of Vihaan.AI, Air India’s transformational roadmap to increase international connectivity.
DGCA signs MoU with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India announced it signed a wider ranging signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for cooperation in Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Innovative Air Mobility. This MoU will focus on increasing collaboration on unmanned aircraft and innovative air mobility between the two regulation authorities. This collaboration would include cooperation in the areas of development of certification standards and environmental standards and related requirements for the certification and use of unmanned aircraft systems and innovative air mobility operations which includes licensing of personnel, training, air traffic management and infrastructure, including Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) standards and services.
IndiGo connects Delhi and Baku
IndiGo announced launch of a new route connecting its Delhi hub with Baku, Azerbaijan commencing 11th August operating four times weekly. Baku becomes carrier 108th city on its route network and 30th International destination.
