Air India to deploy Airbus A350 on New York routes

Akasa Air launches international operations from Ahmedabad

Akasa Air launched 20 July direct flights connecting Ahmedabad with Jeddah, marking its first international route from the Indian city, operating twice weekly. Akasa Air operates 59 weekly from Ahmedabad operating six domestic and one international routes, carrying over 1.8 million passengers since August 2022.

Akasa Air  Co-Founder and Chief Marketing and Experience Officer,  Belson Coutinho, said “We are pleased to strengthen our presence in Ahmedabad and extend the Akasa experience to travellers on the Ahmedabad-Jeddah route. In the past two years, we have received immense appreciation for our warm and efficient flying experience from customers travelling to and from the city, and our resolve towards service excellence continues to strengthen.”

 

Air France KLM Cargo Group and IndiGo CarGo announce partnership

The Air France KLM Cargo Group and IndiGo CarGo announced the signing of an extensive Interline Agreement connecting leveraging their route networks. The announcement marks the first step in their collaborative efforts to further develop a robust cargo partnership. This Special Prorate Agreement became effective on 16 July 2024.

IndiGo CarGo Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Sutch, said “We are consistently expanding IndiGo CarGo’s network and capabilities. The strategic focus on growing international presence is greatly complemented by our partnership with Air France KLM Martinair Cargo. This collaboration not only broadens our service offerings but also allows us to leverage their extensive global reach, thereby providing our customers with a wider array of options across diverse geographies.”

 

Air India to deploy Airbus A350 on New York routes

Air India announced its to deploy flagship A350-900 aircraft will operate Delhi-New York JFK flights from 1st November and from its Delhi base to Newark  from January 2, 2025, thus transforming its passenger experience on these strategically important routes.

Air India Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Campbell Wilson said “We are encouraged by the positive guest feedback we have received from the domestic deployment of our A350s to offer our hero product on the Delhi-New York JFK and Delhi-Newark routes. This is a significant leap forward for our U.S. operations that also underscores our commitment to continuous improvement.” “The new seats, new inflight entertainment systems, and new soft products will together provide our guests with great comfort and service that are representative of the new Air India. We believe this enhanced offering will solidify Air India's position as a leading carrier and attract travelers seeking a world-class flying experience between India and the United States.”
