Akasa Air expands route network to Gorakhpur

Air India Partners with MedAire

Air India announced its partnership with MedAire, a premier aviation medical support provider, to ensure emergency healthcare services to its passengers and crew both on the ground and in the air. Air India's Head of Safety, Security & Quality, Henry Donohoe said "Our crew play a critical role in ensuring timely care to passengers during an in-flight medical event. The app helps the crew gather accurate health information from the ill passenger, which is then shared seamlessly with ground-based medical teams at the MedAire centre. Prompt and accurate communication with medical professionals reassures crew and passengers that Air India is well-equipped to mitigate any onboard medical risk.”

 

Akasa Air expands route network to Gorakhpur

Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, announced the addition of Gorakhpur as the 23rd destination to its network with direct connectivity to and from its bases at Delhi and Bengaluru, commencing 29 May 2024. Akasa Air Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Praveen Iyer, said, “We are pleased to introduce Gorakhpur, as the 23rd destination, in our network. We are confident that these flights will enhance point-to-point connectivity with two metro cities, increasing mobility and accessibility within Gorakhpur while promoting trade and commerce. IndiGo announces new route from Bengaluru

IndiGo announced further expansion of its Bengaluru launching a new route to Deoghar effective from 1st June operating three times weekly. The new route will further enhance connectivity from the southern part of India home to the famous Baidyanath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, which attracts millions of devotees every year. IndiGo Head of Global Sales, Mr. Vinay Malhotra, said “As the first and only airline providing connectivity to Deoghar, we are pleased to announce direct flights between Bengaluru & Deoghar. This will not only provide customers with access to the unexplored beauty of Jharkhand's holy city, but will also offer enhanced accessibility, increased flight options, and improved connectivity for students and employment-seekers travelling across the region.”
