Aviation Capital Group (ACG) re-leases A320neo’s to Avianca
Air Inuit to acquire Boeing 737-800 Combis
Air Inuit announced the ratification of an agreement for the acquisition of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be added to its fleet over next 24 months, replacing Boeing 737-200 aircraft. The aircraft will be customized using Air Inuit's innovative combi configuration solution to meet the carrier’s unique mission requirements in Nunavik province. Air Inuit CEO & President Christian Busch, said “The addition of these aircraft to our fleet enhances our capacity to efficiently transport passengers and deliver essential cargo to the communities we serve. Acquiring these modern aircraft also supports our airline's goal of reducing carbon emissions and doing our part in the fight against climate change."
Aviation Capital Group (ACG) re-leases A320neo’s to Avianca
Aviation Capital Group (ACG) announced the re-lease of eight Airbus A320neo aircraft powered by CFM International LEAP-1A26 engines for delivery during this calendar year. ACG President & CEO Tom Baker said “We are excited about expanding our relationship with Avianca and seeing these aircraft continue to serve passengers in Colombia as well as across the Avianca network.”
Canada Jetlines Announces FlyAllways Contract
Canada Jetlines announced that it has signed a 6-month contract with FlyAllways, a Caribbean airline based in Suriname, where FlyAllways will charter Canada Jetlines to provide weekly flights between Toronto and Georgetown, Guyana. Commencement of flying is expected to start in Q3 2023 subject to Guyanese government approval.
Fly Baghdad leases CRJ900 from Avmax
Avmax announced the lease CRJ900 aircraft (MSN 15059) to Fly Baghdad for domestic operations within Iraqi. Avmax CEO Steve Hankirk said “We are pleased to lease our first CRJ900 to Fly Baghdad. This aligns with our strategy to grow our portfolio with younger, more fuel-efficient aircraft. It is also in line with our strategy to expand our customer footprint by introducing our first lessee in the Middle East."
Omni Air International wins Boliviana contract
Omni Air International announced it is operating scheduled between Viru Viru International Airport (VVI) in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia with Miami International Airport (MIA) in the United States and Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) in Spain using an Omni-operated Boeing 767-200ER while two A330 aircraft that Boliviana de Aviación will employ on those routes undergo certification.
