BOC Aviation reports half-year results
BOC Aviation reported NPAT of US$206 million for the first half of 2022 on revenues up 8%. BOC Aviation CEO & MD Robert Marin said “In the first half, BOC Aviation generated core NPAT of US$206 million, which demonstrates the resilience of our underlying business. Our balance sheet strength and high levels of liquidity position us well to continue producing long-term sustainable earnings for our shareholders.”
Cathay Pacific Airlines re-connects Bengaluru and Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific Airlines announced it will re-connect Bengaluru and Hong Kong effective from 11th October using Boeing 777-300 aircraft, operating twice weekly. Cathay Pacific Airlines Regional General Manager, South Asia, Middle East and Africa said, “We are delighted to once again serve the residents of Bengaluru. As a group, we have had a long-standing history with the city and now we will be taking to the skies from the third-largest airport in India – Kempegowda International Airport on 11 October with Cathay Pacific. A wide-body aircraft on this route will not only cater to the travel needs of corporate and leisure travellers but provide each segment with a cabin of choice and allow them to travel with enhanced comfort to Hong Kong and beyond. Moreover, launching Cathay Pacific in the city also gives us an opportunity to service our customers and partners, whilst providing them with a comfortable and a premium experience on our world-class products.”

Uganda Airlines announced it is to launch a new route from its Entebbe hub to Guangzhou route operating weekly using Airbus A330-800 aircraft to tap the potential of the large Chinese community in Uganda.
